The Quadrinity
I first experienced the idea of the quadrinity whilst attending the Hoffman Process back in November 2009. This was a 7-day residential process designed by Bob Hoffman who coined the term ‘quadrinity’ to describe the 4 aspects of self - the body, the emotional, the intellect and the spirit. He believed that “by engaging all these aspects and helping them to work in harmony, true healing could begin.” The Hoffman Process was predominately about shedding patterns inherited from our parents but it also showed me about shedding those ‘bullshit’ rules that have been imposed on us by our culture, our teachers, our peers, etc. It is about unpeeling yourself and finding the true, authentic you underneath.
I created this graphic to signify these 4 aspects of self with orange representing the PHYSICAL; blue representing EMOTIONAL; red representing SPIRITUAL and purple representing INTELLECTUAL. These aspects are encompassed in ether, space, divinity, universal source, culture, the shamanic realms, all these things or whatever resonates with you.
It is an image I use to remind me that I need to keep these aspects of me in balance using all the tools I have learnt over the years and continue to learn. It also is a ‘pure’ version of me without those rules or expectations of society.
So for me, the graphic above and this essential oil drop version help me remember how to support myself as I keep evolving and growing as a spiritual being having a human experience.
I wish that I had known about the healing power of essential oils as a way to support my quadrinity integration work. I believe it would have accelerated my healing and evolving exponentially post-Hoffman.
Luckily that Hoffman experience led me to training as a Core Shamanic Practitioner and that led me to the healing power of plants and doTERRA. doTERRA means ‘gift of the earth’ and they truly are that. However I believe they are the gift of the earth for our quadrinity and so Hoffman meets oils and the quadrinity oils grid was born so that I can share their wisdom with others and accelerate their journey along this road we call life.
Essential Oils - Ancient Plant Medicine
Self-care is as easy as opening the bottle and taking a breath.
Alongside the candles, which give you the space and time to truly be you, is an aroma to help you on your journey of self-discovery.
Most of the oil samples can be used with your candles. To use your oil aromatically to scent your space follow the suggestion below. We will tell you if the oil of the month cannot be used with your candles.
Your candles are natural soy wax so after you've blown out the candle, place a drop of oil in the melted wax, the oil will disperse into the candle and during your next time of Soulitude, you'll smell the oil as your candle melts once again.
Each time you settle into Soulitude, experiment with your oil - apply a drop to your wrist, the base of your skull, or behind your ears: imagine where the oil came from; thank the plant for its magic and as you take some wonderful, calming, deep breaths, know that you are amazing.
Breathe and be YOU.
